2022 SUMMER FAQ's

2022 SUMMER SEASON FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

When does the season start?

Opening Night is July 8th and will run for 4 weeks plus one week of playoffs.  Teams will play 5 regular season games in 4 weeks.   Dates subject to change.

June 25th - Coaches Meeting

July 8th - Opening Night Week #1

July 15th - Regular Season Week #2

July 22nd - Regular Season Week #3

July 29th - Regular Season Week #4

August 5th - Playoffs

Who?

Corona FNL Summer League has no boundaries.  You can form your own team, or we can assign to a team.

Where are the games?

Games will be at Santiago High School in Corona (subject to change).

Where and what time will practice be?

Preseason practices on 7/5, 7/6, and/or 7/7, location TBD.

Regular season practices will be on Fridays prior to games at Santiago High School.

What equipment do I need?

You provide cleats and mouth guard.  Flags, jerseys, and shorts will be provided.

How can I volunteer to coach?

Send an email to coronafnl@yahoo.com with the subject “Summer League Head Coach".  Provide coach's name, email address, and cell phone number.  Also send your player’s Fall 2022 grade, and a list of kids that want to play on your team.  You can also request to be a Head Coach during the online registration.

How many players per team?

Eight players per team.  9-player exceptions can be made at head coach's request.

Can I request a friend? 

We try our best to honor requests, however, there is no guarantee requests can/will be grantedGroups of 3 or more friends will not be placed on the same team unless a parent is willing to be the head coach. 

How much does it cost?

$160.  (No Team Sponsorship required in Summer League).

Can I get a refund?

Refunds of $110 are available until the first game of the season. After this point no refunds will be issued.  3rd party admin and credit card charges cannot be refunded.

Is the uniform provided?

League Jerseys and shorts come as part of registration.

Are there playoffs? 

All teams in 1st/2nd grade, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th, and 7th/8th divisions qualify for a single-elimination playoff tournament after the regular season.  There are no playoffs for the Kindergarten division.

When will I hear from my coach?

Coaches will get their rosters June 26th and will begin contacting players soon thereafter. If you haven’t heard from your coach by June 29th, please email coronafnl@yahoo.com.

Can my child play with a cast on?

No.

Are dogs allowed on the fields at the games?

For the safety of others, dogs are strictly prohibited.
